Proverbs 14:12, “There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death.”
Romans 12:1-2, “Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God–this is your spiritual act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.”
You and I are often our own worst enemy. We keep looking outside of ourselves for the source of our problems when the real culprit is us. We have a problem with stinking thinking. We are convinced that our way is the right way even when our way keeps landing us in a bad place.
Living differently begins with thinking differently. When it comes to thinking differently, we have two choices. We’ll either conform to the way the world thinks, leading to failure or be transformed by the way God thinks, leading to success. It is either a mind controlled or a mind renewed. There is no middle ground.
Most people choose to change the way they think, not because they see the light, but because they feel the heat. Don’t wait until you are neck-deep in hot water to choose God’s way of thinking. He has given us his Word, the Bible. Stop living a life of “my way or the highway.” Open the Bible, his book, and find the way that leads to life!
If you do not have a Bible, your first action step is to purchase a Bible for yourself or receive a complimentary copy this weekend at Fellowship Church. Your next step is to click “Read More” below to see our 12-DAY READING PLAN. Begin your journey by letting God’s Word renew your mind!
Dear God, as I read your word, the Bible, renew my mind. Reveal any thoughts that are “stinking thinking” and transform them to align with your thoughts. My desire is to walk in your way, which always leads to life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
