Think
It’s mind-blowing to think that every minute there are 5.9 million Google searches, tapping into a search index that's over 100 million gigabytes. That's huge! Google alone raked in $191 billion from ad revenue in 2022. With the rise of AI, getting our hands on information has never been easier. Whether it’s checking the weather in Singapore or finding the quickest route to a Chicago eatery, a simple tap on our phone, iPad, or laptop gets us there.
This constant availability of information somewhat echoes a spiritual invitation given to all who follow Jesus. In the Bible, James tells us, "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach" (James 1:5). This isn’t just about instant data retrieval, it’s about tapping into a deeper source of guidance, especially when we hit rough patches. It’s comforting to know that, unlike a search engine, our heavenly Father offers wisdom that comes with genuine support and direction, encouraging us to approach him anytime and anywhere without hesitation.
While the internet is an incredible resource for information, it simply can't compete with the divine wisdom that God offers. We’re reminded that God gives generously to all without making them feel foolish or guilty, which is a promise you won't find in any service agreement online! As we navigate through life’s daily challenges and decisions, it's worth remembering that we can always reach out to our Father with sincere hearts, confident that his guidance is not only the best, but is always accessible, no matter where we are or what we're facing.
