Hebrews 13:21 “equip you with everything good for doing his will, and may he work in us what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.”

Oskar Schindler, a wealthy Nazi industrialist, defied the atrocities of the Holocaust by saving over a thousand Jewish lives. In the touching scene from the movie “Schindler’s List,” Spielberg captures Schindler’s emotional farewell to those he rescued. As he bids them goodbye, Schindler is overcome with the realization of the profound impact each life he saved holds. Yet, in this clarity, there’s a heartbreaking revelation—he could have done more had he understood sooner what truly mattered. It’s a sobering reminder of the importance of discovering our purpose before it’s too late.
None of us desires to squander our lives in the chasing of trivial pursuits. We all long to make a meaningful difference and to invest our time and resources in endeavors that hold lasting significance. The desire to leave a positive mark on the world resonates deeply within each of us.
The good news is that even when we feel inadequate or unprepared, God can still use us for his purpose. When Jesus informed his disciples of his imminent departure from Earth, they were understandably overwhelmed and unsure of their ability to carry on his mission. Just as he reassured them, he reassures us today: our shortcomings and imperfections do not hinder his plans. He calls us to step out of our comfort zones and rely on him, reminding us that we are not alone—God has given us the Holy Spirit to guide and empower us.
So, we can take heart in the knowledge that God can work through imperfect vessels like us. Let us trust in his guidance and lean on his strength as we seek to fulfill the purpose he has placed within each of us. Together, let’s step boldly into the calling he has for our lives.

Lord, give me wisdom and direction. Help me to use the gifts and resources that you have given me to honor and glorify you.
