Our Response to Jesus' Message
Read:
Acts 2:14-41 "But Peter, standing with the eleven, lifted up his voice and addressed them: ‘Men of Judea and all who dwell in Jerusalem, let this be known to you, and give ear to my words.’ Those who received his word were baptized, and there were added that day about three thousand souls."

The world of physics establishes that every action initiates an equal and opposite reaction. The story of Jesus resonates with this principle in a more profound, more philosophical manner. Since his first appearance, Jesus's name, teachings, and actions have elicited varied responses ranging from disbelief and skepticism to wholehearted acceptance and dedication.
His disciples, those who lived in close quarters with him, witnessed firsthand his divine authority. They observed his miracles, teachings, and kindness. They observed his compassion for the helpless and courage in the face of opposition. Before ascending to heaven, Jesus commanded these disciples to spread his teachings and message of salvation and instill hope in humanity. Like them, we have to choose what our reaction will be. Will we embrace this calling or will we choose our own way?

In our daily lives, how do we respond to Jesus' teachings? Are we listening with open hearts and minds, ready to act on his words, or are we simply hearing them and moving on? This week, make a conscious effort to not just read or listen to Jesus' teachings, but to internalize them and let them guide your actions.
Pray:
Dear Lord, grant us the wisdom and courage to understand and act on your teachings. Help us to embrace your Word wholeheartedly and follow you in our thoughts and actions. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
