Proverbs 4:24-27 (KJV) "Put away from thee a froward mouth, and perverse lips put far from thee. Let thine eyes look right on, and let thine eyelids look straight before thee. Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established. Turn not to the right hand nor to the left: remove thy foot from evil."

W.M. Thackeray: "If you sow a thought, you reap a deed. If you sow a deed, you reap a habit. If you sow a habit, you reap a character. If you sow a character, you reap a destiny."
Our achievements and future trajectories are tightly bound to our thought life. Think of it as the captain steering the ship of our attitudes and actions. Much like a boat's rudder, our thought life plays a crucial role in determining the direction we sail. Our thought life determines our future. Now, picture negative thoughts as those baby sharks swimming in the sea of our minds. Given attention and nourishment, they can grow from pesky irritants into dangerous predators, threatening to disrupt our journey. But here's where the transformative shift happens – when we invite Jesus on board, he will help us capture these potential threats, these damaging thoughts. Jesus has this divine ability to shine a light on negative and destructive thoughts, allowing us to safeguard our God-given purpose.
Let's actively bring Jesus into the helm of our thought life. As we do, we not only capture those baby sharks of negativity, like pride, greed, and anger, but we can also witness a profound transformation in our minds and our future. With Jesus as our guide, we navigate away from destructive currents, steering toward a future shaped by His love, purpose, and grace.
Apply
Capture your thoughts and direct them toward God's truth. Say this 3 times a day: I have the mind of Christ. I have the righteousness of Christ. I'm accepted in Christ. I'm forgiven in Christ. I'm gifted in Christ. I'm strengthened in Christ.
Pray
Lord, we seek your guidance and intervention to capture these thoughts, especially those that threaten to disrupt the purpose you have instilled in us. We invite Jesus into the helm of our thought life, trusting in his transformative power. Help us surrender our minds to you. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
