What Jesus Would Say to Joe Biden: Use your Influence For Good

Think:

Joe Biden is the president of the United States. He was a Vice President and served as a senator from Delaware from 1973 to 2009. Most of us aren't famous, rich or well-known like he is. We don't have an impressive degree or lots of followers on social media. But you, my friend, have the power to positively influence others. It doesn’t require a specific age, nationality or personality, and you’re not limited by your job, location or marital status.

Within the heart of every person is the desire to be influential. Whether we’re immersed in endless diaper changes, climbing the corporate ladder, or serving the “least of these” here or abroad, we can engage our God-given opportunities for positive influence. We can have the unparalleled opportunity to influence this generation and those to come. God uses ordinary people like us to star in extraordinary “God stories” — real-life narratives of purpose and influence. Although we’re all imperfect and inconsistent, we can still be influential because of God’s grace and power in and through us.

Apply:

Speak up. To influence others, you can’t be afraid of speaking about your relationship with Jesus. Pray for opportunities and watch for the doors God opens.

Pray:

Lord, help me to clearly see the places where I can have the greatest influence. Give me the courage, wisdom and grace to speak into others’ lives and reflect your goodness so that, through you, I might make an eternal impact. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
