What Would Jesus Say to Joe Biden: Use Your Platform
Read:
Matthew 5:16 “In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”
Think:
More than 4.59 billion people actively use social media, with the average person spending over two hours per day on it. This is more time than most people spend on cooking, cleaning, or eating! Therefore, nearly all influencers use social media to reach their audiences. To be successful, they must have a good reputation for their knowledge and expertise on a certain issue or topic. This is how they get paid. Influencers know their product and promote it extensively.
Although we may not have a social media presence with thousands of followers, people are still watching us and observing our behavior. However, there is a difference with intentional influence. God wants each of us to be a kingdom influencer and impact others for Jesus. To do this, we must be intentional. Like influencers, we must know what we are promoting. This means we must spend time with the Lord and his Word, intentionally seeking to know him with our hearts and minds. Then, we can share God and his mighty works with our audience.
