Don't Miss It
Read:
Luke 10:40-42 "But Martha was distracted by all the preparations that had to be made. She came to him and asked, ‘Lord, don't you care that my sister has left me to do the work by myself? Tell her to help me!’ ‘Martha, Martha,’ the Lord answered, ‘you are worried and upset about many things, but few things are needed—or indeed only one. Mary has chosen what is better and it will not be taken away from her.’"
Think:
Is it always the same for you: overwhelmed? Do you feel like you're just running from projects, plans, and people who need a piece of you? Are obligations flooding your mind and planner? Do you have mental whiplash with your schedule?
Sometimes our lives are so busy that we miss the opportunities God places right in front of us. We can be so distracted, just trying to keep up with life's demands, that our spiritual lives suffer. God wants to teach us new ways. He desires to spend time with us; he wants us to sit with him. As this crazy world slides into frantic madness and many demands scream for our attention, we can become people who choose to be still and sit at the feet of Jesus.

Today, don’t rush through your devotional. Take a few minutes to make Jesus your focus. Speak to him and make him your priority. Take a breath and let him breathe life into everything you do today.
Pray:
Lord, I don't want to miss out on any moment with you. Help me to not be so busy that I don't hear your whisper. Dispel the distractions so I can focus my attention and time on you. Amen.
