He Left It

John 14:27 “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”
Psalm 139:23-24 “Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.”
Think
When life throws curveballs, our first instinct is often to try and take control—organizing, planning, and making bold promises, even to God. Maybe you're facing a tough situation right now, a health issue with no apparent solution, or the unexpected end of a relationship. It's natural to feel the urge to negotiate and strategize in the face of devastating news about someone you love. But when we come to terms with the fact that we're not the ones in control—God is—we find a profound peace and hope that transcends our circumstances. We come to realize that despite the evil and heartbreak we encounter, God is at work, weaving everything together so we can still experience joy and bring him glory.
In the moments before his crucifixion, Jesus gathered his disciples and offered them a gift: his peace. This peace isn't like anything the world can give—it's a deep sense of wholeness, restoration, and unity, a peace that surpasses understanding.
Just as Jesus extended peace to his disciples, God longs to bring that same peace into your life. But it's a choice we each must make—to invite God to examine our hearts, to reveal any areas of unbelief or doubt that might be hindering us from experiencing his peace fully
God doesn't dismiss our struggles or pretend that pain doesn't exist. But in his presence, he declares that pain doesn't have the final say. With his power and accompanying peace, he guides us through every challenge, holding our hand as we journey from this life to eternity.
