I'm Not Feeling It
Read
2 Corinthians 12:9 “But he said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.' Therefore, I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.”

It was one of those days. I awoke to a rain-soaked and gloomy morning, and to add to my troubles, I spotted a leak near my garage. As I ventured outside to take my dogs for a walk, I stepped into something less than pleasant. Meanwhile, my children called with their own set of problems. It seemed as if what were once blessings had changed into burdens. Anxiety and feelings of inadequacy raced through my mind, leaving me feeling overwhelmed. Yet, as I trudged along with my dogs, my shoes gross and my spirits low, I happened to glance upward and saw a glimmer of sunlight peeking through the cloud cover. In that moment, I was reminded of a crucial truth: those clouds were merely temporary. The sun still existed beyond them and would eventually break free.
Just as Jesus has dominion over the weather, he also holds sway over my life's circumstances. Many years ago, I entrusted my children to his care, and that decision allows me to find peace and gratitude. Recalling the wisdom of 2 Corinthians 12:9, I'm reminded that God's power shines most brilliantly in our moments of weakness. When I find myself drowning in my limitations, I understand that my potential is not confined to my own capabilities. My strength comes from the One who can accomplish anything. With the Lord working within me and through my weaknesses, I sense a transformation unfolding—from anxiety to gratitude and from feeling overpowered to being empowered.
